Watch TV OR the Security Cameras on the Kitchen TV
Discrete, high quality directional ceiling speakers
Design Brief:We were invited by a well known Interior Designer in Hampstead Garden Suburb to provide an AudioVisual solution for their OWN Arts & Crafts home - a compliment indeed! The brief was to hide all the technology whilst providing the highest quality sound within these constraints. Security was also a key issue, given the beautiful paintings and sculptures collected over many years by the Client. Ease of use was also a pre-requisite.
Wow Factor - Hidden Bedroom TV: There was a long and low window facing the bed, so a conventional TV mounted on the wall or cabinet was not feasible as it would have spoiled the beauty of the room and obstructed the view. However, there was attic space above, so we recommended a well-tried and tested solution of ours - a TV drop mechanism. The nice feature of this mechanism is that a flap covers the exit panel when retracted. As the TV could now be placed effectively at the end of the bed, the TV size could also be much smaller and less intrusive.
Security:An eight camera CCTV system was installed with the ability to view the cameras at any time, anywhere on an iPhone or iPad or any TV in the house.
Sound: Morel In-ceiling and satellite speakers were used throughout the house. Unusually, Morel enclose their speakers in a sealed metal sphere thereby minimalising the leakage of sound into the rooms above. The sound quality is exceptional for such a small, discrete speaker range.
Control: iRemoteControl was installed on the Client's iPads and iPhones to control everything. We can also automatically link iRemoteControl to the Sonos App (our recommended multi-room audio system) for added simplicity of operation.
The End Result: Great Sound, ease of control & hidden technology - the lady of the house was delighted.
